What is a good FTP Client? WS_FTP by IpSwitch is a very simple to use, well designed program, availiable free to download from www.ipswitch.com. However, most if not all FTP programs will ask for the same essential information: hostname: ( your IP or domain.com ) Login: username password : yourpassword With this info, most FTP clients will function properly. What hostname do I put in my FTP Client? You should use the IP Address that was provided to you or, if your domain is already pointing to MercuryD's nameservers, use the domain name reference. Where do I upload my Index File? Once you login via FTP, you will see a single directory called public_html. This is where you place files you want to be viewable from the web. support@mercuryd.com |
