I have setup additional e-mail accounts in the control panel but I cannot check e-mail from my Outlook Express or any other e-mail client that I have. I can check the webmail from the Cpanel and the mail is there, what do I do?
Unlike your main account that comes setup with your Cpanel, the syntax for setting up the additional email addresses in an e-mail client is a bit different. Let's take a look at an example: 1) I have created an additional e-mail account test@yourdomain.com 2) Now create the mail account in your Outlook Express or other mail client. Enter the SMTP/POP3 server as being the "yourdomain.com" 3) Now when it asks you for the username, most of us would normally put 'test' as the username as it precedes the @ sign. However in this case the username is actually "test%yourdomain.com" The syntax of this control panel is a bit different in this respect however once you are used to it, it is very simple. support@mercuryd.com |
